Taking on new projects

Anatoly Dobrokhotov

I build digital products end to end

Backend, interfaces, mobile apps, infrastructure and deployment. From the first conversation to a service running in production — with no chain of contractors and nothing lost between them.

What people come to me for

A platform from scratch

01

A web application with user accounts, roles, an admin panel, payments and multiple languages. I design the data model, write the API, build the interfaces, set up the infrastructure and take it to production.

  • API
  • Interfaces
  • Deployment

Moving off legacy

02

MODX, WordPress or Bitrix stopped holding your business logic and your load. I move the project onto a modern stack without shutting it down: a dedicated application migrates the data, old URLs keep working, and the old system's behaviour is documented as the reference.

  • Data migration
  • SEO preserved
  • No downtime

AI inside the product

03

Not a chatbot on the homepage, but a feature people pay for: semantic search, document recognition, automatic translation and classification, structured interviews in a messenger, image generation.

  • Embeddings
  • Recognition
  • Messengers

Maintenance and growth

04

Docker, automated deployment, backups, documentation and written conventions. The project doesn't stall when the developer disappears: everything is described and reproducible with one command.

What I have built

Client and product names are withheld — every project is covered by confidentiality terms. The architecture, the stack and the nature of the problems solved are described exactly as they are.

Healthcare01 / 06

Pre-diagnostic patient platform

A patient describes their symptoms, the system asks follow-up questions, ranks likely conditions and recommends specialists and tests. A separate service reads uploaded lab results and medical reports.

  • VLM
  • Multilingual
Healthcare · AI02 / 06

Patient intake over a messenger

The patient writes to WhatsApp in plain language, the bot runs a structured clinical interview in any language and prepares a summary for the clinician following a medical protocol. The clinician approves or edits it before it reaches the record.

  • Clinical protocol
  • Patient memory
  • Approval workflow
Education03 / 06

LMS with a partner programme

Multilingual courses: clients study, editors fill in content, partners sell access on a referral scheme through a public API. Three roles, three interface zones inside one application.

  • Three zones
  • Job queues
  • S3 storage
  • Referral API
HR tech04 / 06

Two job-search platforms

Candidates and employers: vacancy collection from external sources, AI processing of the text, a résumé builder with PDF export, geotargeting, multiple languages, an admin panel with moderation.

Food service · B2B05 / 06

Migrating a corporate catering service

A live business running on MODX with a shop module, moved onto a purpose-built stack: orders from employees of client companies, cut-off times, rotating menus, one consolidated monthly invoice per company, and a daily order sheet for the kitchen.

Subscription service06 / 06

Digital safety service

A subscription product with a web account area and mobile apps: phone-number sign-in, personalisation by country, language and faith, a content section and subscription management.

  • API-first
  • BFF
  • SMS sign-in
  • Android and iOS
Process

No surprises

  1. 01

    Understand the problem

First what and why, not which framework. We go through the business rules, the boundaries of the project and what success looks like. If there's a simpler way to solve it, I'll say so.

  2. 02

    Architecture and data model

The data model, the API contracts and the roles come before the first line of interface. This is the most expensive thing to change later, and the part I delegate to no one.

  3. 03

    Working software, not status reports

You don't review mockups or percentages — you open live screens on a staging environment. Every week ends with something you can click.

  4. 04

    Production and handover

Docker, automated deployment, backups, documentation and conventions. The project reproduces with one command — you are not locked into me.

Lab

What I build for myself

Testing technology on my own problems before proposing it to a client.

Local speech synthesis and voice cloning

Reading text in a voice cloned from a short sample — entirely offline, on a home GPU with 6 GB of memory. Custom web interface and batch scripts. Useful where a studio recording isn't possible and the data can't go to the cloud.

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • CUDA
  • offline

Content pipeline

An article from a URL: language detection, translation into English and Spanish, classification into sections, illustration generation, PDF export. Fully automatic, with an admin panel for edits.

  • Node.js
  • Prisma
  • image generation
  • PDF

My own development infrastructure

A shared reverse proxy with TLS serves a dozen projects on local domains, each in its own Docker environment. A new project comes up with one command and speaks HTTPS immediately — exactly as in production.

  • nginx
  • Docker
  • TLS
  • DevEx

Tell me about the project

Write a couple of paragraphs about what needs building. I'll tell you whether it fits a sensible timeline and budget, and suggest where to start. If it isn't a fit for me, I'll say so plainly.

Write right here

The message comes straight to me. Your details go nowhere else.
